Upcoming Community Events

Students, we have lots of exciting events coming up! Only 8 weekend runs left, and lots still left to do!

On this Thursday, March 26, Frank Shorter will be at the YMCA to talk with you about marathon training. Among other running achievements, he won the Olympic gold medal for the marathon in the 1972 Olympics, and the silver medal for the marathon in 1976. Bring good questions!

On this Sunday, March 29, we'll be running the Presidio 10 race, a hilly 10 mile course in San Francisco (including over the Golden Gate Bridge!).
Castlemont
students, the bus will pick you up at 6am on Sunday.
Tech students, the bus will pick you up at 6:15am on Sunday.
The bus will not wait. Please be prompt.

Next Thursday, April 2, the Alameda County Health Department will be providing a nutritional clinic at the YMCA. As part of the clinic participation, you need to keep a three day food journal -- so you'll need to start on Monday, March 30. Student Liaison Michelle Deiro will have more information on what the food journal needs to include.

Volunteers, if you are running the Presidio 10 Race with the students, please confirm with Christine, and meet us at 7:15am on Sunday. See you then!
