SRO Volunteer Kickoff Meeting Sept. 8
SRO VOLUNTEER MEETING FOR THE 2007-08 SEASON
Date / Time: Saturday, September 8th, 9:30am – 12:30pm
Location: Alameda County Public Health Department, 1000 Broadway, Suite 500, Oakland , CA 94607. Check in at Security on main floor. Say that you are with Students Run Oakland. Proceed to 5th floor meeting room.
What: To provide SRO volunteers with information about the upcoming season and answer any questions you may have. The new volunteers will also get a chance to learn from returning volunteers about their experience with the program.
Provided by SRO:
· Breakfast
· Opportunity to fill out & sign SRO volunteer contract & info sheet
· Fingerprinting of new volunteers (returning volunteers who had been fingerprinted with SRO previously do not need to get fingerprinted again). A background check / fingerprinting of all SRO volunteers is required before being able to run with the students. SRO will provide onsite fingerprinting for all volunteers needing this service through LiveScan during the meeting. A short form is required and will be provided onsite .
Please bring photo ID. We kindly ask you to cover the cost of the fingerprinting service. Please bring cash or check for $25 made out to SRO for processing fee.
We will also be confirming registration for free, optional CPR / First Aid Training scheduled for Sunday, September 23rd. Please RSVP to: christinechapon@yahoo.com before September 1st.
We are all very excited about our new season with SRO! It will be the 6th marathon in LA for SRO. So far we have brought just over 150 students to LA, and with your help this year we will continue to grow the number of Oakland students who cross the finish line!
